Looking to re-do my dash in my 280zx...and i HATE the stock lines in that thing, I'd like to smooth out some of the rough edges and just make it more modern looking. Wondering if I can just remove the stock cracking vinyl stuff, and sand down the foam, then recover it. OR, would it be better to remove the stock Vinyl stuff, sand down the foam, and totally re-do it with some extra foam and epoxy. Also wondering if you guys think a dash looks better painted (glossy like the body) or upholstered with some nice vinyl, or pleather? Or should i smooth it all out with glass, and then cover it with something?
