I've heard of ppl doing that, but if you take it to a Mitsu dealer they will just rip the covering off or find the VIN somewhere else. Like at Cannon Mistu in Lakeland my exterior trim kept popping loose and even though that had nothing to do with engine mods they said they would have to inspect the whole car to see if any modding was done, then call Mitsu and see if it would be covered.

I couldn't wait around for them to do that and I eventually just superglued it down. There was a article in Import Tuner about a act that makes it illegal to void a vehcle warranty just because of mods. They can only void if the mods directly effect the problem being addressed under warranty. Mine is out of warranty anyways w/33k miles.
