Stock for stock, the STi is going be a tiny bit quicker (extra 1/2 liter displacement for more low-end torque and ~25hp) but the Evo handles and has quicker steering. The 4G is much easier and cheaper to mod, as there aren't many parts out the for the EJ25 (compared with the 4G63). STi is much more suited for dirt/sand fun
