best way to work it is to side step or kick the clutch, just touch it enough...

Derek, that's what I'm refering to. Yes I use the clutch but barely tap it just enough to take the tranny out then back into gear. But I'm willing to say that if u never put foot on your clutch and try to shift a 5spd at high rpms.....it aint gonna happen. Well it will but bye bye tranny.

Oh and 8k shifts? :o I did't know pushrods go that high!

i have to disagree with you. i shift the bike at 13K rpm with no clutch, and she never complains.

actually, i did "clutchless shift" the WC T5 in my 88 a few times...pull it hard enough and it will go in (then again, i went through 4 T5s in 2 years driving it on the street)
