#1 It's not just about the numbers (unforunate for you bench racers) = Porsche has consistently done more (lap times, championships) with less (HP & 1/4 mile times) than just about any other automaker.
#2 Ruf - pronounced "roof" makes cars and are classified as a full fledged car maker (unlike AMG). They get shells from Porsche and basically rework, re-engineer Everything.
#3 Ruf claim to fame - made the famous "Yellow Bird" basically the first street legal car to break the 200 mph barrier - at least that a magazine reported on anyway.
#4 If Ruf made the bumper, then I'll bet you it's designed that way for a reason f2f - form follows function. This would be in stark contrast to body kits on 15 sec hondas or wings on front wheel drive cars.
#5 - Wheels - probably one of the few things that Ruf outsources - in this case to speedline. The flat faces have become somewhat of a trademark - unfortunate because of very high offset # they look that way (the newer Porsche's have a high offset, so little lip anyway). Ruf wheels are typically very heavy.
