There is a big debate between the 5-speed tranny and the 6-speed. If you think about it the transmissions have to be in a similar size housing so that means more gears, the smaller they are. Well you think the smaller, the easier to break. I have done alot of research and this is the biggest debate amoung evo owners. As of right now i don't think they have found them breaking more, but that is of right now.

As far as upgrades i would check into some of the companies that have the fastest evos such as turbo trix, automotosports, and pruven performance. I have called all these places asked all kinds of questions about which parts they had success out of and everything. I suggest going about it in the same manner. I did my research so when i know what to do when i get mine.
