I figured I would make another sticky here to go with the one in Toyota Tech since there have been several users and vendors that are not following the rules listed there. I will start with formatting for parts, and move on to cars (near the bottom)

Subject / Title Line for PARTS:

Regardless of what you are selling, there should be a FS(For Sale), WTS(Want to Sell), WTT(Want to Trade), or WTB(Want to Buy) tacked on to EVERY subject line. This will be followed by a description that gives a GOOD IDEA of what you are selling. " Boost controller", "Chrome wheels", or "Celica parts" is unacceptable.

Examples:

WTS: 1990 Toyota Camry Alloys
WTS/WTT: Toyota MR2 SW20 MAF sensor
WTB AE86 front bumper

Main Body for PARTS

The main body of the subject must show several things.

1. Detailed description of the parts involved and their condition.
2. Compatable mountings. For example " Fits All-trac Celica 1990-1994 and SW20 mr2 from 1991-1995" Its ok if you dont know ALL the compatable vehicles, just list what you know.
3. A PRICE MUST BE LISTED. No "testing waters", no "give me an offer". List a price always. All posts without prices will be Deleted. The exception is if the product is listed as FREE. Even if you dont know the value, take a guess on the high side and say obo (or best offer) at the end.

Pictures will help a product sell. Do not ask people to "email" you for pictures, this is a waste of our time and shows your lack of motivation to sell your product. If you have them, TR has a wonderful Gallery where you can post them and link to the thread.

Example:

1991-1995 Toyota Engine Management system. Powered by a desktop computer, this system was tuned for my T3/T04 mr2 but can be setup to work with any other SW20 MR2. Dyno tuning required. Possible to swap into an All-trac but unsure if connectors will fit. Used 3 months, here is a picture of the system and its specs. $1250 or will trade for Ninja 250R.



Toyota Cars For Sale

Subject / Title for CARS

The subject and title rules are the same as for parts.

Ex:

WTS: 1996 Toyota Supra TT

Main Body for CARS

Toyota Cars for sale must be posted FIRST in the main Tampa Racing Cars For Sale forum according to their rules. Then in your main body you may place a LINK ONLY to that add.

A link is the ONLY THING that should be in a Car for Sale post in Toyota For Sale. No prices, no description, no mods, no colors, and no arguements or discussion.


Threads that do not follow the above rules can mysteriously dissapear!
