I dive my cars for daily driving, and it's just as fun to mod your car and feel the power as it is to see how much faster your car can go by beating the hell out of it down the track 15 X.
as far as handling vs. raw power...
when are you really ever going to catch someoen at a stoplight and race to see who's car can outhandle whos?????
It has to do with a straight line in America!!!
I don't street race, period. I do all of my racing at the track. I do enjoy goosing it on the street, but I have more fun goosing it around corners. I have places I go to drive my car fast around corners for the fun of it. Right now the car has too much power for my brakes and tires. You floor it on a straight and then have to slam on the brakes at the end of the straight to bleed off 30 mph in excess speed, and take the corner slowly, then repeat. Once I get my RX-7 wheels back on the car with some good tires and do the dual-piston caliper upgrade with some good pads and stainless lines, it should be a blast to take out to the back roads to have some fun from time to time.
