Im 44 and my first car was a 1970 z/28 that I purchased in 1977. I'd say Franks spot on. The appeal of Muscle cars isn't just that they were fast. You can make any car fast. But, if your car was built between 1964-1971 it represents a time in American cultural history when this country was truely car crazy. When the number 1 priority of every major US auto maker was to build a faster car than the other guys. A time when winning on Sunday meant increased car sales on Monday. New cars, foriegn or domestic, no matter how fast will never have that mystic. And thats why people will always want them and why most will not be able to afford one before long.
