All motors are interference motors when water is present. Water doesn't compress. The rod and piston's job is to compress whatever is in that cylinder. The water will win. If you're lucky you'll bend a rod. Many times the rod breaks and if the block isn't very strong, the rod will come through the side.
Well I would assume it would be a small enough amount of water that it could still squeeze in and maybe just bust a valve at most if it were in a non-interference motor.
