Would that be like using Eagles One's-Never Dull? I've got a can of that and use it on my bumpers. I'm not sure how to explain it, but it's like a wad of cotton thats treated and you pull it apart and wipe the chrome. It leaves a film and you buff it w/ a towel after to get the shine. It works good.

I use the mothers polish also on tough spots, maybe try it w/ a buffing wheel if there that bad.
