Now you can take say a JDM D15b ($800) for full swap. throw pistons, rods, and a crower stg 2 kit, ($1000) and a decent header and aftermarket intake manifold ($800).and be making around 140-150 whp with good tuning. and prolly save $1000. im definetely not putting down DOHC There a great motor but in (MY OPINION). you can make a SOHC just as fast and spend the same amoutn of money. and have better gas mileage.
But like i said if you want to just swap a motor and not do any internal work. and be quick go with a DOHC.
everything you said is true but your spending a decient amount of money to equal a STOCK B series. gas milege is more dependant on the quality of the tune and how heavy your foot is.
