This is absolutely amazing! Let's see if I can phrase it differently to help: You are sliding, if you would like to go straight again you need to do what? CORRECT the slide. Going straight means zero slide angle. Correcting a slide takes you closer to zero slide angle. Steering away from the slide (more toward the wheels pointing straight with the car) does not correct the slide and allows the car to continue to rotate until it spins. The point at which the spin actually occurs may vary, but you are pretty much gauranteed to get the car pointed 90degrees relative to its direction of travel before it spins.

Straigntening the wheel mid slide makes more angle, possibly even spinning (ultimate angle before spin).

I would appreciate it if Matt, Rob, BIll or someone who understand what I'm saying would chime in
