I know that there are many of you here who have been with the DGtrials family since the first event at SPC a few Februarys ago, and I'm sure that this news will mean something to a lot of you.
Kyle Campos, who is largely responsible with making the past 7 D-Day Drift Invasion events happen, is going to be stepping down as the Regional President for DGtrials. Kyle is arguably one of the hardest working people in the motorsport world and over the past few years has gotten involved in a lot of other endeavors. Although supporting the Florida drifting scene is a love of his, he unfortunately can no longer devote the time that the events demand in between the other obligations. Kyle won't be disappearing from DGtrials by any means and will always be a part of the DG family, but he won't be as directly involved in organizing and running events as before. This being said, to maintain and improve the quality of D-Days and other DGTA events necessitates some changes within the DG machine. So, he is passing the hat to me.
From here on out, I will be taking over Kyle's responsibilities for DGtrials. I will be the go-to guy for anything and everything DGtrials, and will do absolutely everything in my power to make the events better than ever before. If anybody has any information, questions, input, whatever, feel free to Email me at
mranlet@tmail.com or call me at 941-224-7235.
I promise to do everything possible to make FL drift events kick more ass than ever, but would like input from drivers as to what more they want from the events. Seat time is, of course, the #1 concern, but what else do you guys want to see in upcoming events?
Thanks!
-Mike Ranlet, DGtrials Regional President
