#1 chetthewit Leslie knows a reasonable amount about the WRX..
#2 yes.. the Auto WRX has a VTD system.. while the manuakl WRX has a 50/50 torque distriibution
#3 http://forums.i-club.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=226610&highligh t=VTD has lots of information on someone creating a system for controlling this.. so unless the 'kid' you know is this guy.. or has an understanding similar to his.. then he hasnt a chance.
#4 Rally WRX's are able to use a DCCD type center diff.. but its not Variable.. and its not reallt the same as the one on the auto
#5 in my book.. with a decent fron and rear LSD.. teh manual WRXs AWD drive train is far superior in every day competition use to teh VTD as I dont want power being diverted from wheels i am trying to use (but who might be struggling for traction) to wheels that are having no traction issues.. if my front wheels have no traction..and it diverts power to the rear.. thats only going to make the 'understeer' worse in my thinking.. the front wheels wont be able to grab anymore .. but that could be just me.
#6 .. again.. most users use teh maual transmission..i dont suppose that is just co-incedence..
#7 and most importantly.. the internet ows j00..its where i got my information.. and where you too with a search can get yours.
