I don't care how big the compressor inlet is on Joe's car. AT LEAST HE HAS A TURBO! I don't think you understand just how little money we will have in this car. Its mostly stock junk parts that people have laying around. If we had $5k we'd have to be careful of who drove it because it would be into the 9's which requires a competition license.
This is something we decided to do because everybody has spare parts laying around that either aren't worth much or there's not a market for. Its a total community effort, there will never be only one person working on the car. It will be done for the cheapest amount of money possible, while trying to keep it reliable enough to beat on at the track.
If 10 second cars are so cheap and easy where is yours?
My 10 second car is in the process of being built. Cheap and easy aren't a problem, it's me finding the time since my life does not revolve around cars and I do work 50+ hours a week and have other priorities.
My car will have WAY under 5grand into it and run 10s. I have not even spent 1000 on it yet and i already have exhaust, car, trans, xcase, fmic, motor and fuel supply.
Guess well be seeing eachother on the 1320.
