I don't like the B14 in general, but the SE-R version overcomes a lot of the series' shortfalls.

One of the cons is the lack of suspension travel. Even with a tame spring kit like a ProKit, you have big problems bottoming out. They also have cable clutches (instead of hydrolic), which are flintstone technology and don't like heavier sport pressure plates. Don't forget about 5th gear pop-out on old worn trannies.
