Default My budget 10 second build....

Well it has been a while since I actually built a car for myself and people always ask me where my car is at and why I don't have a built car and so on. Well I've decided to build another car for myslef and to try and document the buildup as I go. This car will be built in my spare time after hours at CMS I hope to try and finish in 6-9 months, the limiting factor being time.

Goal:
Build a ten second car and spend the least amount of money possible by doing all aspects of the build/fabrication/bodywork myslef in-house. I will also document the build the whole way to try to give people that don't know what it takes to build something like this an idea of what is involved and how much work it is.

Car: (as it sits this moment)
1989 Honda crx dx
Formerly automatic, now converted to five speed
lsvtec engine (N/A), this is actually the first engine I ever built back in 1999
92 GSR tranny, Kaaz Diff, some sort of ACT clutch, blown 2nd and 3rd gears
Rear disk conversion
Koni Yellow shocks
Neuspeed springs
stripped interior

I bought this shell a couple of years ago from Taylor when he worked at Secret Services. I had it up and running till the fuel pump went out a year ago and it has sat ever since. I would of liked to build this car with a somewhat full-interior but I got the car stripped and I don't feel like putting interior back in right now, maybe later.

Plan:

Car will be turbo. Motor will run on stock sleeves, part of the reason is to save money part just to see how fast a stock sleved block can go. No wheelie bars. I have a couple of suspension ideas I want to try out, I might not include these in the public buildup though. I'll give out more info on the specifics in the different segments of the build as I go.

Here are a couple of pics:
