They also share the PLATFORM of being front engine/rear wheel drive. And depending on the year of the cobra/v6 they also shared the fact of being N/A. The Lancer has always been front wheel drive N/A and the Evo has always been AWD and Turbo. Stearing components adn even the front control arms are different in the evo compared to the lancer. Pretty much the only thing they share that is the same is the bare frame and the main body. Also most of the inside of cobra's depending on the year were the same as the v6 mustangs but this is not the case with evo's and lancers.
Untill 2003, according to MY definition of a cars platform, the v6 and cobra mustang always shared the same platform, however the lancer and evo have never shared the same platform. And my definition of platform would be drivetrain/powertrain.
I do understand/see where you are going though fordified.
