Default timing chains

Okay I have come to the conclusion that I am taking my gear drive out and replacing it with a true double roller timing set. Okay, so I want to know are all timing sets made the same way, I knwo that i need to differentiate whether I am using flat tappet or Hydraulic roller, which of course is the latter of the two. So I am looking for timing chains, and seen some pretty trick peices on Ebay for the billet deals for 50.00, FRPP peices are about 80.00 with steel gears sometimes cast iron? I dont know, I need some guidance, which one would work the best for me????? HELP.
