Default may have been making a mistake

okay well this time with the next clutch i decide to go back to oem honda friction plates and steels. well i case anyone wanted to know my last clutch ended up looking like black chalky charcole.
well i start the install but i decide to relook at the book about a spec and i see something i guess i skimmed over. well the first and last friction plates are different(some kind of coating on them). the barnett clutchs all used the same friction plate regardless of order. well anyways i am stacking them in . well as it turns out according to the book the last friction plate is suppost to go in a different groove than the rest. i had not been doing this. however i do not really see the significance of placeing that plate in that slot, but it could very well have been my problem all along. we shall see. i am however a little to pissed off due to my recently aquired ticket while tring to adjust the clutch to work on it any farther.
