BY the way in case any does not know the 427 SOHC motor is the most powerful production gas engine built around 700HP and was built to handle 7000+ RPM all day. It was going to dominate NASCAR but the dodge guys cried to NASCAR to ban it because it would annialate the HEMI. So Ford took it to the drag strip and dominated with it.
Whats funny is that GM used to do that every year and Ford always cried to NASCAR and they always chnged the GM car. IE: more spoiler angle, less aerodynamics, and other shit...
