I thought the heater core helped keep the engine cool and dissipate heat.
Do you still have your full front and rear bumper? I was thinking of scraping that and just making aluminum square brackets for the contact points.
What did you use to scrape the crap off the floor with? how much of a pita is the carpet?
I used a heat gun and a scraper, then acetone and a rag to wipe the residue. It was a tremendous pain in the ass and took forever. Try the dry ice method, freezing it and then chipping it out, supposed to go much faster.
Oh yeah, the carpet- rip all of the padding and wood off the bottom of the carpet, leaving only the thin upper skin of the carpet. On my car that was a good 15 pounds, might be more on yours.
