The fact that the left front ear of the frame is still facing upwards really pisses me off. The steering is *almost* perfect again, but feels a little vague...my guess is the fact that the angle the steering shaft goes into the saginaw box is altered from stock by about 1-2" is fucking everything up. Next, the paint is fucked up where it was keyed in Ybor City and where my ex-g/f spilled orange juice on the right fender. Plus it's peeling on the driver's door where my arm is constantly resting on it. Now the brakes feel like crap and it's time to look at the master cylinder/replace the lines with stainless steel ones. Next, the 75k mile 318 is feeling it's age...It's not bad, doesn't smoke or anything, but this was a Pasco county school board vehicle and I'm thinking it wasn't taken care of as it should. When you pop the oil fill cap off, you can see all the coke on the springs. For some reason, we are having a hard time getting the mount problems under control...when you stop, you can feel the drivetrain move on the frame...it's annoying, and there are no part numbers for the transfer case mounts...Even the dealer was stumped. Then I'm tired of the boring ass truck interior.

Now, if we are going to go balls out and redo the truck, I'm gonna spend my time and money on the '79 because it's a convertible. My father has done fibreglass before and we are gonna do something different with the interior. The hard top will go into permanant hibernation in favor of the soft top, and it will get that bitchin' hood.
