You want to come out as hard as possible without blowing away the tire or wheelieing "too" high... you don't want to bog out or drop too low in the RPM range either.
Pick a launch RPM that's pretty conservative.
Systematically work your way up till you find the sweet spot.
Document what you do in a log... it will help prevent from always recreating the wheel.
