Thats pretty much exactly what's happening with my car. Although i havn't run it on a computer to check the code it's throwing, this sounds like the same thing. It starts misfiring/sputtering although its not just a couple seconds. And it goes way after resetting ECU.

do you have a 1g swap in your car if yes check the cas I had that same problem on my car and it was the cas the best cas to us is a 92-94 with the black plastic cap on it.
