Some of the old timer wrench's I know have developed some health problems related to chemicals soaking into their skin. Kidney failures seem to be the most common. If your turning wrenches for a living I highly recommend wearing them.
thats why i started. now i don't work on cars for a job anymore and i still always wear the blue rubber ones when working on my own.
