actually....
I am in this situation right now.
Lets copy and paste my convos!
*For the incompetent
This is an email conversation between me and my mother, I did not include emails that led up to this. If you have difficult reading books with allot of words skip over this post.
"YEAH, VROOOMMM, ACHOOOO, ACHOOOO, I showed your e-mail (for laughs) to my
co-worker whom just arrived, her dad is a Harley guy, his best friend died
last night!!! Bike accident. Rick, what can I say, if ever you get a
week-end bike so that you can go in the country side, I even buy one for my
self, but city riding, it is deadly, the first person I ever saw dead, was
about 25, handsome guy, just laying there no blood. eyes open looking at the
sky. No! you will not convince me!
Love u lots,
mum"
"I know mom and know all the consequences, remember the world is rich
with photos of all the bike accidents that happen with the addition of
aftermath photos. People are more knowledgable about it to make an
informed decision. I made mine awhile ago.
A harley person dieing tho to be honest gathers no sympathy.
Harley riders are different than sport riders. Harley riders wear T
shirts and flip flops and no helmets. They corner horribly and have a
longer wheelbase for looks which make them more difficult in the lean
of a curve so more prone to quick-fails.

This is your typical harley riders.
And if you are lucky they are then wearing jeans maybe, or even a half helmet.
Jeans last 8feet of sliding in a fall.
sportriders wear comp leathers full face helmets and better common
sense that they should not be wearing shorts on a bike.

"In Chicago Harley riders are more into the heavy leather $450.00 with the
Harley logo, boots, and yes, helmets, probably because they are baby boomers
and with $$ they can afford the " complete look", with a bit of common
sense.
One of the engineers here belongs to a Veterans Harley group and he is going
to introduce me so that I can go riding with them, awesome!! Geriatric dept
on 2 wheels, it sounds like fun!!! add a couple of drinks, memorable!!
gtg"
"mom, do you know how bad that just sounded.
> on 2 wheels, it sounds like fun!!! add a couple of drinks, memorable!!
">
Sport bikers dont touch a drop.
And harley is Looks, Not performance, There is no harley riders that
where full face helmets, which alone cost 450$ Full leathers are
another 600, gloves 70, boots 120$
It is a different world between the two. They go for looks, sport goes
for actual performance."
"yeah, sounds bad... I hope it feels good, I don't want the wold to zooooom
by me, I will like to have the time to look and not leave my nails stuck on
a stranger's tummy.
And about sport bikers to touch a drop... of water maybe. Go by Jimmy's
Grill downtown Nap. where all these bikes are displayed, and see them dying
of thirst!!!
silly,"
"obviously those that dont follow the code arent a true sport biker.
and are in it for the looks, and they then are degraded all the other
people that od it for looks"
Thats as we leave off for now. Remember, Everyones approach is different, We already went thru cost, insurance, now we are at safety, then we have a few more chapters to go.
