WgsOO23's posts (the one posted on 06-13-2005). Surf the forum here for awhile. Hell, I have been riding for well over 20 years (yeah yeah Iam an old fart like Cecil.I am a whole 36) and there are days I still get the shit scared out of me. Yeah, bikes are fun and chicks dig 'em, but along with that they are dangerous as hell. All the gear in the world isn't going to save your ass if some cotton head decides he wants YOUR lane doing 55.
My point is this....when you are old enough to pay your own bills, then you are old enough to take your own life in your own hands. I have taught my girls the basics of riding a bike, but that doesn't mean I will buy them one.JMHO~Barbie
I understand where your coming from with the dumb ass people but to say the info about being at ur parents house and paying bills is a little crazy IMO. Im under 21 and pay all bills neccessary and still live with my parents. Only reason im with my parents is because some trouble i got into a few years back. But i do have a bike. Mom didnt like the fact about me getting it but i guess she could only say so much. Pops was all for it as long as he could ride it every so often

I have been riding harleys since i was 15 and this is my first sport bike.(No comparison i know). I am afraid but love riding. All in all, sit donw with ur parents and try to have a adult to adult conversation with them. Try giving some good points and not "because i want it". Good luck with everything.
