During off-road adventures you can use the vent as an extra air intake for the cabin, keeping the normal a/c vents closed and the windows up to prevent dust from getting in. As its up higher it won't take it in as easily, and it helps pressurize the interior in a way. But
water splashes don't seem to help.

Not so current picture of the car, but close enough. I'm just afraid I might have to get the STi hood scoop afterwards... but we'll see how it looks. But if all else fails, I can pull out the old saying "Screw you guys, its my car."
Talked with my body shoppe guy today, and if all goes well it should be all said and done by the end of next week. Will get a better feel for it on Monday when I get the roof scoop.
