Who was the dude again? The one with hte pic you posted. I cant remember his name.
Brian Slowe owns the car.. but he's not giving away too many secrets. However, i've been talking with his neighbor who helped him build it, and he's told me a few things i'm not supposed to know. I can ask him.
They have to use the engine specific tranny as well.
Right. The starter is in the front for one.
Another thing I remember is that the I believe the Neon hubs are smaller than the older FWDs, so that might lead to a bastard axel type.
The hubs are, yes. But the trans end is the same. I've researched it. Not sure about lengths. But i know a guy who builds all kinds of custom hybrid axles for cheap.
Wonder where/ how they slot the cam? Any special angel. Shouldn't matter as long as the distributor is right.
I would think it wouldnt matter.. maybe set the engine at TDC, then find out which position you want the dist body clocked at, and see where the drive thing is.. then grind. You can always spin the body around to make it perfect.. as you will have to in order to set the timing anyway. Just depends how anal you are with the flat spot on the body where the splash guard thing goes.
The Neons are Sequnetial fire?
No clue.. ask L0r1.
