Dex Cool or the green stuff...and internal engine cleaning...
Since im replacing the headgaskets (slowly but surely between work, school, weather and when im not in excrutiating pain), when its all cleaned up and back together, should i switch to dexcool? will i get any benefit? the dexcool is supposed to be more friendly on the gaskets supposedly? (the car is a 95 LT1)
also, before i get everything back togehter, whats the best way to clean out the motor from the crappy oil/coolant mixture? unfortunately, i dont have a garden hose readlily available (i live in an apartment, and doing this in the parking lot.) the radiator i can just yank out and take it to a hose and flush it out completely, but the motor is gonna be hard to do lol. but once its back together, i can run it somewhere (35 miles away) to families house in pasco and flush the coolant again and refill it but im not thinking thats a great idea.
any thoughts?
