In my opinion i would never supercharge a motor...But of course i am a 4cyl kinda guy and it has been proven that 4 bangers make more power when turbo charged....But it seems to me like they make damn good power on v8's, look at the 03-04 cobras....they haul ass....period.


when breaking down the supercharger , i belive there are 2 types...Roots type(03-04 cobra type) and these bolt directly to the intake manifold , as well as he jackson raicing superchargers...Then there is the centrifugal....i Belive it was developed in the late 80's early 90's buy some dude running in the top alchol class ( right below top fuel ) and he developed a twin s/c kit for his car but he gotted kicked off the nhra because it made the car too fast.....

My question is this...why do the roots type not make as good of power at the centrifugal s/c's? i would think the roots type would make more power since they are directly on the intake mani....
