the width of the crx rail is shorter than the width in your 89 dx hatch. so they won't bolt directly in.
my friend on the other coast had to re drill mounting bolts to sit the seats correctly ... needless to say they don't exactly function well with the car front cabin layout.
John over at LHT did my friends seats into his CRX from a newer year Civic. You may want to inquire with him thru a PM, I believe his name on TR is Mr. LHT

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period.
