Pat had his sanded down and sprayed with a thick primer and sanded smooth before painting. They look awesome! You could do that yourself or have it done locally for I would think much less than $300 plus shipping.
I sent a pm to Sebastian(the guy that did Pat's) months ago but he never got back with me. I'm just looking at other options now, I'm tired of them looking like crap.
