Go with the F cam, I know it worked great n/a and with the boost for me. The X is pretty damn rough.
A good oil pump can be had here from what I understand

They are blueprinted and have some very meaty internal.
Get the oil pump shaft from ARP. You will pay a little more for it but it will be well worth it because snapping it would result in a fubared motor. One thing to check though is the thread engagement of the pump shaft into the oil pump itself. We had to do some modifing to get it just right.
Best of luck with it, sounds like you are on the right path. Just don't cheap out on critical things like bearings, oiling, etc..
