ducatis are well worth it. Only reason they cost so much is because most high performance mods are already done and are covered by warranty. Name another jap bike that has an ohlins shock stock, has won as many superbike championships or is as nice.
Ducatis are akin to ferraris. Beautiful, fast and quirky. A Jap bike is a dime a dozen, almost stamped out. You will not see more than a handful of
exotic bikes in a day or even a week but the squids cruising on their stolen gixxers are countless.
If I had the money I would put 22k toward a ducati.
BTW check the prices. You can walk out with a 749 for 14k. BMWs are the most expensive factory, then come the high end superbike replicas.
