I love my headlights, they're round, and cheap.
But I bought a nice new set of Discount Auto's finest to replace the old ones.
First, I have to get the old ones out. And therin lies the problem. I can't get a screwdriver in through the front. So I figured...remove the entire cone looking part? 3 screws later, I find there's even more screws to remove.
SO I look in the book. I need to remove the 2 screws from inside the engine compartment. Ok I can try that...left side first, everything in the way seems to come out without any issue.
Except there is 1 damn screw that won't loosen. I didn't remove the sprayer pump yet, though that's probably next to come out (hard to reach 1 of the bolts) because...well it doesn't work anyhow, so no loss if I don't get it in again anyhow.
Am I missing something? Is there an easier way to get these lights out, or am I making too much of this? Looks to be 3 bolts in the back (2 front, 1 side) holding the bracket thing in place.
I know there's a couple Datsun guys on here, guess I'll spray with penetrant until it either loosens, or I get any new ideas.
WHY did they use screws? Bolts can at least be removed with a socket...screws, well turning a handle is much harder than pushing a lever
