Interior for domestics are just right down plain and simple. Interior panels are made out of those really hard plastics, which makes me think its cheap plastic. Example: Buick LaSaber/ Ford Expedition. For imports, there are seperate pieces and are superglued together, and they use more plastic that are "softer" and flexible. Their panels are usually made of different compound layers. Example: Hondas, BMW. Bang your head on the door panel of a Dodge Ram truck and a Nissan 240, and then tell me who would hurt more.
As for the motor, me and my family gone through several Ford and GM automobiles in the past, and they arent really up to imported vehicles. Gone through several bearing replacements, but never for our imports. Rear independent suspension is new for domestic automobiles. Most are still with the beam suspension as in most minivans.
Yes, imports have their own problems such as electrical in german automobiles. But I must say, the japs are ruling the automotive industry. I think Nissan spent more time on their motors than Dodge...32 Valves VS 16 Valves.
Already GM is feeling on the down side, Nissan has taken a large piece of their pie. Domestic automobile value drop down very quickly, while cars such as the Civic eg/ek is always in high demand because face it, they are more reliable cars. I know domestics rule the drag strips, but for daily driving and modifying, I am import in heart...awww such a beautiful way to say it. Ok what i just said was a load of BS.
This is so full of BS and half-truths... I will not even comment on them all. You suck.
