2 fixes:
1.With my Accord, I thought the speed sensor cable was plugged well into the
top of the auto trans, and held down with a "C" type clip.
It was just a little too high; was not connecting down in the trans.
When I pulled the cable up, rotated the cable's bump to the side to
about 6 different places, one at a time; it suddenly went in
deeper and worked fine.

2.Once when I had pulled the instrument panel out for cleaning,
and replaced it; the speedo cable plastic clip did not "Snap" into
position on the back of the instrument panel, and allowed the
cable to *pull back out!* of where it plugs into.
Easy fix: snapped it back on= works great.
Check these 2 things I mentioned. Let us know what you found.-Bob
