Damn I hate being slow. I'm seriously debating buying some sort of V8 F-Body on a car loan and using the money I get for the V6 towards the Mustang project. Only problem being the V8s are just as unreliable as the V6s, if not moreso...*sigh* I just wanna be fast.
Oh yeah, the 3.4L is a joke. I had a 3.8L Camaro for a while, it was cool for a DD, but definitely lacked any kind of power.

A properly built and maintained V8, especially a stock F-Body, is perfectly reliable. The only reason V8's get a bad rap is because of how much they're beaten on. Let's be honest, if you beat on any engine as much as the 'tards on this board beat on their Camaros/Firebirds/Mustangs, shit's gonna break. Need proof? Go look in the Honda Tech forum. You'll see a lot of broken 4 cylinders in there because they beat the shit out of them.

I'm running a stock 1972 half ton 350 SBC in my Camaro. The only thing I've ever done to it was a full gasket kit since the gaskets rotted from being on the stand too long. It's still on stock bearings and rings!
