i had mine do that too. its overheating from too much of a load I believe. What gauge is your power and ground wires? Also double check all of your wires to make sure your not shorting any of them. Just turn the bass down yeah right or get a bigger one. Im just guessin here since its been a while since mine has done it and too much beer keeps me from remembering the solution but someone else will chime in.
