im sorry, but im going to disagree with scott...on just about everything.
the 60-1 is small for our cars...im sure the exhaust wheel wasnt meant for the air a 350 will push either.
mounting a turbo in the engine bay isnt hard, but its timely and some fab work needs to be done. if you sit it right in front of the opti. screw the FMU, i hate those damn things, do it right, get injectors and tuned.
if your wanting to do a DIY type kit. youll need:
350 - intercooler
700 - turbo (if you can get decent size, thats internally gated, go for it, save money)
150 - piping
50 - BOV
25 - driver side exhaust manifold flange
20 - 4-1 3" collector
15 - flange for turbo
50 - couplers
50 - steel braided line for oil and/or coolant
60 - 3Bar MAP
500 - injectors and pump
and hopefully you know how to weld. and run the piping to the collector and mate up the stock Y to the new driver manifold
the list i initially gave you was so you could do it right and not worry about the rear and such breaking on you.
btw, if its a stock cam, and he made 342, ask him if the heads were milled down and figure out the compression ratio. the thing about the LT1's is the rings are shit, and blowby becomes a problem on boosted cars.
