The yellow top isn't made to be a starter battery anyways, although it is designed to be fully drained and then recharged again without any negative effects on it. You really should have went with a red as your primary. I believe all Optima batteries have atleast a 3 year warranty though, so maybe you can pick up a new one if it's not holding.
