The recent news stories have spawned from the courts decision on the guy from back in 1998 who killed a mom & daugher street racing on hillsborough. U can find more about it on st pete times website.
from what ive heard (im @ work) they showed 'you know who's' face all over the report, mentioned the new law coming up, the court decision mentioned above, showed pictures of the '3rdshift' site, and took a couple quotes from some of the posts in the public forums.
Carey, as to the legal street racing, i cant see it being anything more than bullshit. We do legal street racing at 1320, and everyone knows how thats turned out....no one respectable will go near that event.
Racing on the street needs stricter laws and more enforcement to get rid of the idiots, ricers, and spectators. Only people left will be the ones who are serious about it.
Regardless street racing is bad, dont come out, goto Ybor or something.
