I have a 99 Breeze with the 2.4l motor. Ove the past month I've noticed an increase in fuel consumtion and a suddle loss of power. If I accelerate easily, I notice the car will surge forward with the power it should have suddenly coming back to it.

Any ideas as to what it could be? Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I already changed the air filter, so that's not it.
