Come on now... it's a pressure gauge that can be used for measuring any pressure. It just happens to be labeled "Boost".

Maybe he uses it for troubleshooting problems -- Maybe he has one just after the compressor outlet and one tapped off of the intake manifold to test intercooler pressure drop. Maybe he has the extra one tapped into the intake path while trying to reduce restrictions.

Then again, maybe not But...
