They have two different kits, one retains full auto shifting in drive, the other is full manual. I still have auto though I shift it manually when racing. The shift kit was installed when I had the tranny built so I can't tell you how complicated it may or may not be. They claim it to be pretty simple and it comes with instructions and a video so I'd say someone with decent mechanical skills could figure it out.
