I seriously had the same exact thing, after brand new headers, u bend removed, and full cat-back the noise was still there, i even took my starter out, and inspected it, it looks ok, the noise is internal, and i drove it like that until the starter shaft broke. replaced the starter and it was gone, pontiac told me the noise was the exhaust too when i took it their because it was under warranty, its not the exhaust.
