the b16 swap in that car would be alot of hassle, I had the same exact model in 2001 and went looking for swaps, at the time there were none but now there are more options. the b16 has shifter "rods" wher the d17 ( your car) has cables. I don't know how much fabrication would have to go into changing to rods but maybe someone else can. If it were me I'd run the k20 swap, or if you can get your hands on it the type r in the k series. $$$$$$$ lotsa cash though for that one.

I eventually sold my 01 civic so that I could get into an older car that would accomidate the b16 as well as having a huge aftermarket following ( back in 2002 there wasn't shit) I have seen the greddy turbo kit for the d17 and it's not too bad.

What kind of horsepower are you looking for??? track car or street?? your goals will dictate the most sensible route to take on the performance upgrades.

if your looking for a little extra pep, but want a daily driven, reliable car, then go for a supercharger. if you want alot of pep ( around 200hp), and still daily driven, then the jackson racing supercharger with the 11psi kit is the way to go ( if they make it for the d17). if its for the track then, swap the motor and get ready for a ton of cash, rebuild, turbo, and maintenance.
